The End Is Near

◊ I spent this evening helping Lira haul over a hundred beer bottles to Delvita (the local chain grocery store) for cash. At 3Kc per bottle that begins to add up to some serious cash. Then we watched some movies. I get the distinct feeling that she was giving me one last chance to put the moves on her but I did not. After all of these moths, I think she likes me so much because I treat her as a person and not a piece of meat or prey. Even if she thinks that is what I want, I am not willing to sacrifice our friendship, my values, and her respect on a hunch. This is someone who I will deeply miss. However, my many conversations with her have led me to one conclusion; many women really do like bad men. Guess that is bad news for me. Or maybe that is all the vodka talking. Who knows.
◊ Well, tomorrow I will get up, eat breakfast, do my final shopping, see my final sights (which are many tourists' first) such as Tycho's grave and the clock tower, finish packing, and then head to the airport where I will say goodbye to a place I have come to think of as home. For that matter, it is just as much home as any place is for me at this point. Please excuse my writing like a drama queen. I am sure I will regret writing this in the morning, but I probably will not delete it anyway. At this point, I need sleep more than anything. I have a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very long day ahead of me tomorrow. I mean today.

  • Hey Boutz, what's up? I just read your comment about how many women do like bad men and I thought I should throw in my two cents. I don't know a lot about the strange creatures who can wear skirts and get away with it, but I think you're right. Though the term bad men probably isn't the best.

I think women like men to act manly at least once in a while. I remember a couple years ago I heard a whole lot of stuff about how women wanted men to be sensitive and all that stuff. Well, I think a lot of that is malarky. I think they want us to respect them, and I think they want us to understand their feelings better, but I think our love of blowing stuff up and doing crazy shit turns women on. We're the ones who got the balls out of the evolutionary process for a reason, and it's not because they're terribly convenient.

I'm sure many disagree completely with my views, but I'm pretty sure I'm right in many cases.

Anyway, I just wanted to throw that in. Keep bein yourself Boutz, the ladies like that too. Also, be confident in what you're doing. We missed you last semester in college, man
