Spanish Presentation
◊ Each week one large country or a group of smaller ones put on presentations covering their history, culture, geography, etc. It is assumed that there will be cutural food and alcohol to be sampeled. The American presentation was the second, and with our large numbers and rescources we should have been able to put on a great presentation. It went pretty bad, but up untill now, none of the others had been that much greater than ours. Untill tonight that was. The Spanish presentation totally rocked my face off to use a quaint expresstion. One of the things that made it great was that there was a very large trational Spanish band in town and they came and performed for us. I think they are part of a college out on tour. Another great thing was their cultural alcohol was sangria, which is fairly cheap to make. They made about 220 liters of the stuff. So much, in fact, that the student club did not want to compete with that quantity of free alcohol and made us move the party to the park out front.
◊ This was wonderful for me. I have not been going to the post-presentation parties because they are in that dark, smoky club and the DJ feels the need to blow everyone's ear drums out. In the park there was crisp, fresh air and sangria serverd out of trash cans. This is just not something you can do in The States. It would be roughly the equavalant of taking some kegs to the quad at K-State and putting up a 'Free Beer' sign. The Spaniards even came back out and performed for us some more. They were amazing. I even took the opportunity to dance with Lira who seemed a bit lonely. From what I could tell Lena had attached herself to one of the performers, probably with the goal of making him her next conquest.

#1 you write like you talk.
#2 sorry I haven't checked out your blog earlier.
#3 I expect you to come back in July with one of the Russian girls on your arm with ring on her finger.
#4 I hope that you're enjoying yourself. I think that you are.
#5 Since I doubt we'll ever finish it and due to other circumtances, I'm going to kill the campaign. If you have objections to this E-mail me at thelatinstud@hotmail.com.
Take it easy.
Or else.
